When their radio journey ended abruptly in early 2025 (with the show mysteriously disappearing from the airwaves), Big Party and Molly knew they weren’t ready to say goodbye. Instead, they jumped into podcasting on their own terms – a creative rebirth that lets them be more personal, more unfiltered, and more them than ever. The result? A thrice-weekly podcast that feels like catching up with old friends, full of humor, real-life stories, and that special Omaha flavor listeners have loved for years.

Born and bred in Omaha, Nebraska, Big Party has been dominating the radio waves for 30 years, delivering humor, energy, and pure entertainment. Now, he’s bringing that same fun to the podcast world, dropping new episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—because three times a week just isn’t enough.
Married to the ever-patient Sweet Wylene, he’s also a proud dog dad to two Golden Doodles, Tequila and Remi—one of whom is conveniently named after his favorite drink.
When he’s not behind the mic, Big Party is living his best outdoor life—lounging, grilling, and chilling on the deck. He enjoys long, soul-searching walks through fields of flowers and, on occasion, mowing the lawn in a bikini (because style matters). A silent observer of the neighborhood, he watches from afar, quietly judging—because someone has to.
Fun fact: he was born in the back of a Jeep, setting the stage for a lifetime of adventure. And if radio weren’t enough, his gladiator name is Bigparticus—because every legend deserves an alter ego!
MOLLY CAVANAUGH
Molly Cavanaugh is a writer, podcaster, performer, and chaos translator—able to take even the most unhinged moments of modern life and alchemize them into stories that crack us up and crack us open. A New York-trained actor with a degree from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she cut her teeth performing at Second City, iO, and The Annoyance Theater in Chicago, learning from the best and holding her own in an improv world built on guts, timing, and truth. Molly spent nearly two decades co-hosting a top-rated morning radio show, navigating politics, pop culture, and parenting—all before 10am.
These days, Molly writes, hosts, and creates from her home in Chicago, alongside her husband Peter—who is equal parts patient, funny, and frequently name-checked in her work—and their two whip-smart kids. She’s also fiercely loved by Murray, a 16-year-old cat with impeccable timing and a sixth sense for when Molly most needs company, judgment, or someone to sprawl across her laptop. Molly is currently thrilled to be the co-host of The Big Party Show podcast, bringing her signature voice to a brand-new space and a growing audience of listeners who love to laugh through the chaos.
